Kitchen
The apple is ever more prevalent in the kitchen. The beautiful
bronze woman on the island is a pivotal piece for the kitchen
for it creates depth and stability between the high and open
ceilings. The bronze beauty encompasses the theme for the
kitchen with her bountiful basket of apples. The simplistic
beauty of the apple is carried throughout the kitchen in
the accessories, from the exaggerated green apple above the
cabinet to the apple pie cook book on the island.
Aquarium Bar
The ceiling mirrors the same embossed faux effect above the
breakfast room table. The jacquard tone on tone print from
the family room is repeated in the arched cornice board.
Butler's Pantry
The window opposite the pantry highlights the shaped drapery rod
effect introduced in the breakfast room. The custom swag treatment
is a sage linen sheer. Dragonflies reappear in the porcelain
tea set displayed on the granite counter.
Laundry Room
A tranquil palette was chosen for the work area. Dragonflies
in flight adorn the walls in the wallpaper covering. The
window features a mock roman valance adorned with dragonfly
pins. The authentic bonsais produce a Zen like feeling in
a task busy room. The tiffany style shade lamp on the desk
was chosen for its mood lighting qualities and effects from
nature.
Media
Bath
Classic, vintage movie poster prints were wallpaper, shellacked to the walls
and then framed with upholstery brads to create a nostalgic feeling.
Media Room
The media chairs are upholstered in the most forgiving material,
a slate colored ultra suede. The acoustical wall panels are
upholstered in a dark gray sophisticated wool, almost like
a gentleman’s suit giving the room a strong and masculine
appeal. The inserts between the acoustical panels are wood
and copper. The ceiling is a blue suede faux to soften the
darkness and soften light bouncing on to the ceiling.
