Family
Room
The custom wool rug that emulates the octagon ceiling inspired
the family room’s color scheme. The furniture pieces in
this room include pairs to symbolize pairs in nature. The upholstery
design of the sofas and chairs were custom designed by the Interior
Designer and the manufacturer. The chairs and sofas are upholstered
in a very casual pear green cotton duck fabric on the seats and
pillows with the sides, bases, and backs upholstered in a pear
green raffia material. The throw pillows are also upholstered
in cotton duck in azure blue. The floating ottoman in front of
the television is upholstered in a pear raw silk. The ceiling
is complemented in 18” basket weave squares. The coffee
table features a candlescape with sand and meditating rocks.
The sofa and end tables are clean, straight lines with an Asian
influence. The stationary drapery panels are a jacquard tone
on tone print in complementary shades of blue azure and pear
attached to a cornice board with custom metallic finished hardware.
The alligator on the coffee table is representative of the alligator
that lives in the nearby pond and the crab on the end table represents
the sugar white beaches of Naples.
Breakfast Room
In continuing with the color scheme from the family room the
tone on tone jacquard print fabric was repeated using stationary
drapery panels altered to conform to the design of the windows.
The custom drapery rods in the breakfast room were custom made
by a local artisan to accommodate the arched window. The arched
drapery rings were soldered to the rod in order to keep the panels
in place and prevent movement. Magnolias, apples, dahlias, and
artichokes were incorporated in the breakfast room with the table
centerpiece and in the hand painted tapestry. Local artist Bonnie
Hawley captures the fruits of life. In each square of the tapestry
there are hand-painted artichokes, apples, magnolias, and cherry
blossoms. The ceiling features a hand embossed floral faux treatment.
